Dear Family and Friends, It was a hard frost this morning, although the sun came out and it was mostly gone by 10am. I had a couple of jobs on computers, and now am back to root and ferret about in the nether regions of the Internet, for more cannon fodder - just for you!

Meet the Ekranoplan - this monster, bigger than a Jumbo Jet was built by the Russians during the Cold War. When the Soviet system ended the project was scrapped.

It is really a ship rather than a plane and uses surface effect to skim above the water.Designed for Russia's rivers and lakes.
